Get Tons Of Free Traffic Using A Marketing Funnel

What is a "Marketing Funnel"? And why do I need one?

If you're selling something online, like a service, a business opportunity, a product or whatever…the "marketing funnel" will be a hugely powerful strategy to help you generate a massive amount of free traffic to your website. The marketing funnel is used by many of the top marketers across the net.

To explain the analogy, the narrow end of the funnel is your opt-in page or website where prospects enter their email address and go through to make a direct sale. The wide end of the funnel is the catchment area for all the potential web traffic coming from a wide variety of sources. If you build a very large, far-reaching funnel, you can drive a monstrous amount of traffic.

So what makes up the wide end of the funnel?

To a certain extent, this is only limited by your imagination and how big you want the funnel to be.

A strong and dynamic funnel would certainly include some of the following areas: -

- Social Media sites such as Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and Orkut

- Video Media channels such as YouTube, Metacafe, Viddler and Revver

- Article Sites, eg. Ezine Articles, Article Base and Buzzle

- Blogs such as Blogspot, Wordpress and Wikis

- Social Review Sites such as Squidoo and Hubpages

In addition to this, you may also want to consider the following;

- Press Release sites such as Free-Press-Release.com

- Picture sites, eg. Flickr and Zoomr

- Social Bookmarking and linking sites such as Delicious, Digg, Stumbleupon and Propeller

Because of the massive amounts of people who use these social sites, you're able to generate all the traffic youll ever need, simply by establishing and maintaining a presence on them.

The objective is to be putting out content to as many places and as regularly as possible. Always make sure you are linking back to your opt-in page.

With this strategy you can effectively leverage your time by using just one article to provide you with an incredible amount of content for all these different networks. This will have the effect of boosting your appearance as an authority figure, building your online presence, and exposing you to a never-ending supply of prospects for you business.

An additional benefit of this system, is that it will vastly improve your search rankings for your main website in Google, Yahoo and others, due to all the back links.

Once youre set up, the time required will become considerably less and less. But yes, it does take some time initially in setting up a quality social media traffic network.

After the initial set up of your accounts, which is where the biggest chunk of your time will go…all you'll need to do is schedule in some time to add more content. This is a continuous process, but it all adds up and you'll see it growing and growing.

The building of your funnel is a process, and you'll soon become very proficient at this and will see results very fast. It's obviously not something that can be mastered overnight, but the more of it you do, the bigger the pay off will be.

The more you do, the more you'll learn. You'll also find faster and easier ways to accomplish your main goals.

Eventually, there'll be a snowball effect. The longer period of time you're on the networks, the more credibility you'll have, and you'll grow an extremely large number of followers.

Naturally, followers who like and trust you equals lots of traffic, which ultimately will lead to lots of sales and big profits. Which is ultimately, the name of the game!
